BURNING TOUCH by Taige Crenshaw

Halle James knows her friends mean well when they set her up on dates, but each one leads to disaster. She feels that she is missing some spark that will help her find the perfect man, but she cannot figure out what is wrong with herself. After walking home one night from another failed date, Halle sees a club and decides to go in. This club seems a bit different from other ones she used to frequent. The atmosphere of the club makes her feel immediately welcome, and she sees a couple that are very much together. She wishes that she could have what they have. When she meets a man later that night, she wonders why her pent up desires are coming true. What kind of club has she entered? Is this really the man of her dreams or is this whole place a dream?
After much cajoling from his brother and cousins, Kariati I’ausnes finds himself finally within the confines of Club Immortality. The whole place puts him on edge, but he has been assured that the magic only works if the he is looking for a mate which he is not. Besides, none of the females are really interested in a Sigrum demon outside of this club, and that does not fulfill his true desire. In his haste to leave, he looks back at the dance floor and is immediately attracted to a woman, a human woman, dancing alone. She catches his eye and he wastes no time offering her a dance. However, when he kisses her, they are transported into her fantasy. How can this human have such power over him? Can she survive his Urgrimo – his burning touch and become his mate?
Taige Crenshaw certainly knows how to heat up those pages. The sexual chemistry between Halle and Kariati is definitely volatile, and the tiniest spark sets off a chain reaction. Be prepared for a titillating ride as BURNING TOUCH is one hot read. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Crenshaw, and it will not be my last. I am intrigued by the premise of Club Immortality and shall visit it again in the future.
